Personality:
Chrys is talkative, acts confident, and very social. He thrives on the energy of others and love to be around them. He usually seems sure of himself and like a born leader. However, he takes criticism very seriously, to the point of being hurt. While his confidence isn’t fake, he often has thoughts by himself that he wasn’t good enough to get into Beacon. He strives to be better, practicing to the point of exhaustion. He has a lyre he carries around, and will get annoyed with anyone who interrupts his playing. He often feels like his sister gets more attention, especially because she was sick often when they were younger. He is protective of her, and rather hurt when she denies knowing him. He respects her, however, and tries to stay away for her sake.

Appearance:
Standing at 6’1”, Chrys is tall and lean. His muscles are defined but not bulky. He has shoulder length, shaggy, dirty blonde hair and green eyes.  He has a classic face, some having told him he could be a model. With high cheekbones and arched eyebrows, he always looks like he is questioning something.  He has deeply tanned skin from spending so much time outdoors.  He casually wears a toga as a nod to his Greek heritage.

Semblance:
Distractions are what he does best. Hecan cause his aura to create a sunburst that temporarily blinds the opponent. Unfortunately, this also blinds any teammates, so he only uses this in dire situations.

Emblem:
His emblem is a lyre with a sunburst behind it.

Bio:
Chrys grew up with his mother and twin sister. His mother has never told him what happened, but he knows his father died before or soon after he was born. His sister was often sick, so he spent a lot of time trying to take care of her. However, she always got mad at him and eventually he stopped trying. He always felt like their mother paid more attention to her, and once they were pulled out of school he spent a lot of time feeling very lonely. His mother eventually decided to keep them at home instead of sending them to a different school every month, and had tutors brought in to help hone their fighting skills.

One day, his mother told him that Azura would be spending the day with her tutors, and he was going to come with her. He was overjoyed for the time alone with his mother, and couldn’t stop smiling as they sat down in the restaurant. Chrys chattered away, but as they received their food, his mother suddenly took on a much more serious note.

“Chrys, I’m sure you know your sister wants to be a huntress.”

He visibly wilted at the mention of her, but he nodded.

His mother looked at him, considering. “You and I both know that she is small and weak. I don’t think she’ll be able to protect herself.”

“She will do great!” Chrys stood up, getting more upset by the moment. “Azura is a great fighter, and she’s getting better every day!”

His mother regarded him rather coldly. “Sit. I’m aware, but I’m afraid she’ll be good enough to get in to her choice, Beacon, but not good enough to get out.”

…”What do you mean?” he replied.

“They have an intense training program.” She looked at him intensely. “She might die.”

Chrys was silent for a moment. “Why are you telling me this?”

“I want you to train, go with her, and protect her.”

He hugged his lyre that he kept in a leather pack slung around his shoulder like a security blanket. “But…”

His mother interrupted. “You would helping your sister so much.” She stood up, walked over, and wrapped her arms around him in an embrace. “I would love you so much,” she whispered.

It only took a second’s hesitation before he answered, “Okay.”

Following his mother’s request, he applied his music skills and learned how to fight with them so he could apply with his sister to Beacon. His and his sister’s acceptance to Beacon Academy was a family event, having a whole celebration in honor of them.


Battle attire:
He wears a traditional white Greek toga that ends just above the knee for mobility. Many guys mock him at first for this choice (the girls just enjoy the view).  Over this, he wears a gold colored chest plate and shoulder plates, all with his symbol embossed on the center. His sandals are golden and wrap up and around his calves.

Fighting style:
He prefers to support someone else who is doing the majority of the damage, but can take on a main role if needed. He does his damage and gets out of the way as quickly as possible.

Weapon Name:
Sun Song

Weapon Range:
With the sound waves, the range is within decent hearing range, which can vary. The closer he is, however, the more effective it will be. He is usually within 10 feet of the target. The gun he still has trouble shooting with complete accuracy, but the range of 100 feet is usually his maximum.

Weapon type:
He uses a weaponized lyre with a gun built into a side.

Weapon Description:
Sun Song appears to be a normal, if a bit big, lyre from a distance. It stands about 18 inches tall and 12 inches wide. It is gold in color, with a sun and scrolling down the side in a darker shade.

Weapon Abilities:
With Sun Song, there is a three step process to really cause any damage that Chrys has to pull off. By hitting certain chords on the lyre, it triggers certain abilities. The first part is a high note chord. Similar to a dog whistle, most people and faunus can’t hear it, but it stops the Grimm in their tracks. Second, the lyre uses dust to amplify the sound waves on a chord. In close range, these are powerful enough to knock a creature over, or shake them up at least. Finally, once direct access is given to their heart he can shoot them. While this is a powerful and unique weapon, it is difficult to pull off correctly and Chrys still sometimes messes up the chords, causing more trouble than damage.

Strengths and Weaknesses:
His strengths include music and socialization. He finds it easy to make new friends and allies. However, he is usually easily taken advantage of, and will allow himself to be manipulated to keep others happy. He does great supporting in battle, but he often gets nervous and starts making mistakes when he's alone. He doesn't always do well in math and science.

What exactly do you mean by musical damage? I'm sure you could specify a bit more by possibly saying sound waves, or something of the sorts.

A few more Strengths and weaknesses would also be nice.
